Minutes of Section Meeting
The Hawaii Section has decided that we should announce our meeting through vtools, so that, the website calendar is automatically updated and the L31 can be automatically generated merely by entering the number of member and guest attendees. With the Dec. meetings, we will have reported the required number of section meetings and the required number of technical talks for all chapters. We encourage all officers to try to submit the required reports early so the section can get the rebate bonus.
Starting with the Computer Society Chapter elections this year, the Hawaii Section has decided to allow write-in votes and to use vtools to conduct the voting , thereby, eliminating the need for a teller committee. Note, it has long been the practice in the Hawaii Section to have two year terms for officers. Next year is the year for the other elections in the section.
- A talk by Coral Jean Cotterell on the IEEE Teacher In-Service Program (TISP)
- A member elevation meeting
- A business card exchange meeting with the UH-Manoa Student Branch perhaps in April
Members interested in senior elevation for themselves or others are encourage to contact section officers to help setup a senior elevetion event.
