April 25, 2012 - Dinner Meeting with Mr. Walz, President of the Computer Society
We are having a 5 PM dinner meeting at Willoughby’s Restaurant
(American, Chinese, and Italian) which is located lobby level in the OHANA
Honolulu Airport Hotel, 3401 N Nimitz Hwy, Honolulu,
Oahu, HI 96819.
Everyone interested in advancing the Computer Society Chapter here in Hawaii is
encouraged to attend. We will be meeting with the President of the Computer
Society, John Walz. His flight arrives at 3:21 PM on Wed., 25 April, 2012, and
he has a return flight to Maui at 8:16 PM the same day. Come early if can or late if you must, but

May 1, 2012 - The Student Branch’s End of Year Banquet
We voted to donate $250 to support the UH-Manoa Student
Branch Banquet. It is being held at 5:30-8:00
pm on Tuesday, May 1, 2012. Dinner is at 6:00 pm. They will host up to 5 members of the Hawaii
IEEE Section at the function. This is going to be their last general meeting of
the Student Branch for the year. They
will have elections, farewell to our senior officers, recap of this year, and
have a speaker talking about what life after college is like for an engineer. They also hope to have a raffle prize for
attendees and some time for people to be able to mingle.
May 14, 2012 - EXCOM Meeting at Zippy’s on Vineyard (Date Change from May 7, 2012)
The EXCOM Meeting in May will be delayed until the Monday,
14 May 2012 because of the IEEE-USA meeting.
The Hawaii Section Chair will be away 30 Apr – 11 May, 2012. Anyone interested helping plan our upcoming activities and especially anyone willing to volunteer their time to help out is encouraged to attend. The official start time is 5:30 PM, but come late if you must. RSVP to aet@ieee.org
