IEEE – Advancing Technology for Humanity
Background: We have 611 members in the Hawaii
Section. Each Chapter/Affinity Group is required to hold and report a minimum
of two (2) meetings annually to be considered active (and be included in the
Section's Rebate).
Goals:
- Host an IEEE Humanitarian Conference on Oahu
- Revitalize the Computer Society Chapter
- Revitalize the Communications Society Chapter
- Establish a WIE affiliate group
- Establish a life member affiliate group
- Establish a Special Interest Group in Humanitarian Technology (Sight)
- Organize additional Student branches.
- Co-sponsor programs with other professional/technical organizations.
- Conduct periodic Senior Member elevation events.
