1. New
Members in the Hawaii Section:
We extend a hearty welcome to Alexander

who joined this month.

2. Section Officers Planning to Leave Hawaii
Chris Russell and Dave Morse will be leaving for
the Mainland. They will be missed.
That means we need to find new officers. If anyone can help out, let us know.
3. IEEE
Day and Member Elevation Event in October.

The Hawaii Section is planning an Elevation
Event for October. If
anyone is interested in getting elevated as a
IEEE senior member
and have necessary qualifications, they should
contact section
leaders and/or other senior/fellow members.

Calendar of Activities:
* September 28 – IEEE Region 6 Central Area Meeting.
UH-Manoa IEEE Student Branch will receive their
award at the meeting.
They are to be honored as the Best Student Branch in
the Central Area.
*October 1 – Our IEEE Day Celebration and Section
ExCom Meeting
This meeting, which starts at 5:30
pm (1 OCT 2013) at Zippy's on
Nimitz, is our IEEE Day Celebration and monthly
EXCOM meeting.
It's an open meeting for IEEE members and guests. Come out
and help plan activities for the remainder of
the year and join in
the celebration. Please register
